Stress and workday pressures can make your heart, mind, and body feel increasingly solid and heavy. When you feel this way, what would it be like to soften and open to spciousness?

Breathe or listen mindfully for about a minute
Set your intention. For example, “May this practice give me ease and lightness.”
Bring your attention to sensations inside your body. Acknowledge any sense of contracion, holding, or tension.
      Breathe or listen mindfully.
Shift your attention to your thoughts and feelings. Acknowledge any worry, anxiety, or repeating thoughts.
      Breathe or listen mindfully.
Imagine that your solid body softens, and that your heart, mind, and body flow together and expand into a beautiful balloon.
Let the balloon float up and away – as far and as high as feels safe.
Rest in the spaciousness, ease, and lightness.
End by returning to the ground, now more relaxed.
